More than just words.
Hi, Elia here. It’s hard to write about sustainability these days without sounding like a bit of a twat. However growing up in the south east of England right next to the Ashdown Forest, and having moved up to the Peak District because of my love for nature, the outdoors and all the fun that can be had in both, it’s a subject that’s very close to heart. As a carpenter, I can be proud to say that the trade I love is already leading the way when it comes to using renewable materials and sustainable building methods, however as the many overflowing skips at jobsites might suggest, we’ve still got a long way to go.
One of the ways we try to improve our environmental impact is being involved with companies like the peak district national park foundation who work all around the Derbyshire area doing conservation and restoration work to the national park, hiking trails and climbing areas.
